Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

Remote & hybrid therapy, Nottingham clinic location

My name is Beckie Tinsley and I have been practising as an accredited cognitive behavioural therapy in for almost ten years, therapy sessions are offered remotely and on a hybrid basis with a Nottingham clinic location. I am committed to encompassing up to date knowledge through evidence based practice, psychodynamic and person centred approaches.

Matching to your presenting problems and aligend with your goals and hopes for change, I endevour to provide a holistic enriching experience of therapy.

I work with both adults and young people on an open-ended basis or for an agreed time period, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your quality of life, by developing increased awareness and understanding of whats holding you back, to provoke more consious choices over your behaviour, in a way which is more aligned with who you want to be.

I am experienced in helping clients who are experiencing challenges with mental health, neurodevelopmental conditions, physical health conditions and typically provide psychological therapy for the following:

  • Neurodivergent conditions such as ADHD and ASD
  • Long term health conditions
  • Medically unexplained symptoms
  • Health anxiety
  • Generalized anxiety and excessive worry
  • Panic attacks
  • Obsessive compulsive disorder
  • Trauma & PTSD
  • Fear & Phobias
  • Low Mood and depression

As well as treating people people with difficulties listed above, my specialism is offering psychological treatment to people who suffer with long term health conditions of a physical nature combined with difficulties with mood or anxiety. In my experience managing physical health conditions as well as side effects of medication can impact on mood and motivation to engage with everyday life.

Typically therapy sessions are either by remote video calls, in person clinic appointments or hybrid therapy which may involve either a mixture of both or an initial assessment in person followed by remote video sessions for increased flexibility and accessibility.   Therapy sessions can include walking therapy to meet individual needs and to increase accessibility to therapy, which I am happy to discuss on an individual basis.

Clinical supervision is available for both established therapists and trainee CBT therapists.  As above supervision sessions can be arranged for as in person meetings at the Nottingham clinic, a convenient location by prior agreement or remotely via zoom calls.
